MARCH 2022 — The end of an interminable winter brings rejuvenating spring news. I'm excited to announce my acceptance to Clemson University's Rhetoric, Communication and Information Design (RCID) PhD program. For the next four years, I'll be both a full-time graduate student and Instructor of English within the College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities (CAAH).

In addition to this, I'll have a nine-month teaching contract for the fall and spring semesters with a waiver of tuition. Course work will be completed in two years. The requirement in course work toward the RCID degree is 33 hours in seminars (5 core courses and 6 cognate courses) and 3 hours in studios (applied research), and 18 hours for the dissertation, so I'll be busy!

Over the next four years, I will apply to rhetoric conferences, publish book reviews and (hopefully) long-form articles. This has been a long time coming—about 8 years—and I am relieved to accept at Clemson, which has one of the nation's leading PhD programs in Rhetorical studies.
