Presentation on 'Qatar World Cup of Shame' at South Carolina State University

MARCH 2023 — The Intersectional Studies Committee at South Carolina State University hosted its 3rd annual intersectional studies conference, with session 5 covering Human Rights Issues of Power and Empowerment. I presented alongside Drs. Kavon Franklin (Alabama State University) and Margaret Morris (South Carolina State University).

My presentation "Unjust Arguments and the 'Qatar World Cup of Shame'" provided an in-depth rhetorical analysis of a clip from a 2022 FIFA press conference addressing accusations of human rights violations in Qatar leading up to the championship.
